invites to a four-part series of joint international seminars on:

The Biden Administration and U.S. Global Strategy

– Perspectives on Transatlantic Relations, 21 January (Thursday), 17.00-19.00 CET (PROGRAM)

– Perspectives on the US and the Indo-Pacific Region, 22 January (Friday), 9.30-11.30 CET (PROGRAM)

– Perspectives on the US and Latin America, 25 January (Monday), 17.00-19.00 CET (PROGRAM)

– Perspectives on the US and the Middle East, 26 January (Tuesday), 15.00-17.00 CET (PROGRAM)

In these joint international seminars organized by: Department of Area and Global Studies, Faculty of Political Science and International Studies, University of Warsaw; Centre for Strategic Studies, Victoria University of Wellington, National Security Studies Center, University of Haifa, Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (México), Department of North American Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University; Polish European Academic Center for Exchange and Research – PEACER at NEIU leading scholars from around the world will discuss the implications for their regions of the change in presidential administration in the United States. Panellists will deliver brief commentaries from their own regional perspective in response to the following questions, prior to discussion amongst all seminar participants:

A) What is the current state of US relations with the selected region?

B) What are current perceptions of the US role in the selected region and what expectations do states in the region hold regarding the incoming Biden administration?

C) What possible major changes will a Biden administration make in American policy toward these regions and what will be the likely impact of any significant shifts from the Trump administration’s approach to the selected region?
