Erasmus students discuss the role of UNIFIL in Lebanon

Erasmus students met with col. Pawel Bednarz, commander of the 1st rotation of the Polish Military Contingent in Lebanon to discuss the role of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in monitoring of a ceasefire in this country.

During the meeting students learned about mandate of the UNIFIL, role of the Polish Military Contingent in this mission, and challenges in regard to ceasefire monitoring in southern Lebanon. The meeting was organized as part of a course Security Arrangements in Peace Processes: Theory and Practice.
