Planning the Future of Ukrainian Studies in Europe – Cross-alliance Conference

It is with profound sorrow and disbelief that we received the news of the tragic events that occurred this afternoon on the University of Warsaw campus. Our Colleague and University Employee was brutally murdered. A member of the University security staff was also seriously injured in the attack.
On behalf of the entire community of the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Warsaw, we extend our deepest condolences to the Family and Loved Ones of the Victim.
We would like to inform you that, in connection with this tragedy, May 8, 2025, has been declared a day of mourning at the University of Warsaw. All classes and university work, including administrative duties, have been cancelled for that day.
We remain in constant contact with the Rector Authorities of the University of Warsaw and will keep our community informed of any decisions and actions taken in response to this dramatic situation.
In solidarity and mourning, we stand united with the entire University of Warsaw community in these difficult moments.
