Filipowicz Stanisław

prof. dr hab. Stanisław Filipowicz  – Full Professor [Profesor zwyczajny] at the University of Warsaw (awarded the title of Professor of Humanities in 1991). Academic at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies of the University of Warsaw. In the years 1990-1999, Director of the Institute of Political Science. Full member of the Polish Academy of Sciences. In the years 2011-2018, Dean of Faculty I of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Since 2019, vice-president of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Member of the Scientific Council of the journals “Studia Politologiczne” and “Myśl Polityczna”. Member of the Political Science Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Visiting professor at Kent State University, U.S.A. and Indiana Univresity, U.S.A.

Research interests

History of political thought, philosophy of politics, theory of democracy, interpretative model of thinking about politics.
