On July 9, 2025, the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Warsaw had the privilege of hosting a delegation of members of the Regional Council of Representatives of Indonesia, led by Dr. Abdul Kholik. A meeting regarding the operation of the Polish Senate and legislative processes in Poland was attended by the delegation as part of their study visit.
The lecture concentrated on the structure and competencies of the Polish Senate, with a particular emphasis on its role in the bicameral system and the legislative procedures and mechanisms of cooperation between the parliamentary chambers. The Indonesian guests actively participated in the discussion, sharing their experiences of working in the legislature and asking questions about the practical aspects of how the Polish parliament functions.
This visit was one of many efforts to strengthen academic and parliamentary cooperation between Poland and Indonesia, and it provided an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and good practices in education and research on political systems.
We hope that this meeting will open new opportunities for cooperation between Polish and Indonesian entities.
