The organizers of the Riga Conference Future Leaders Forum would like to inform you about the opportunity for students to participate in this year’s Future Leaders Forum. The Future Leaders Forum will bring together young professionals from Europe and North America who are interested in foreign policy and security. It will take place in hybrid format on October 14th and 15th at the National Library of Latvia in Riga.

This year’s forum will focus on defence and foreign policy developments within the European Union and NATO, including the NATO 2030 concept and European Strategic Autonomy. Participants of the Future Leaders Forum will have the chance to engage in panel discussions with professionals, politicians and academics from Europe and North America. They will also have the opportunity to participate in group discussions and engage in a simulation game.

We are inviting young people aged between 18 and 30 years old to participate in the Future Leaders Forum. The applicants should have demonstrated their leadership skills and interest to take an active role in political and social processes. To participate, it is necessary to send a CV and a short motivation letter in English by September 25th to louis.wierenga@lato.lv . Applicants should have good English language skills, given that the Forum will take place in English. Please note that ten participants will be selected to join in person.

NB: Only individuals with a Covid-19 vaccination or recovery certificate will be able to attend in person.

More information about the Future Leaders Forum is available on our website and in the attached invitation. We would be grateful if you could share this invitation with students and other interested parties.
