Stakeholder Council

About the Stakeholder Council

The Stakeholder Council acts as a consultative forum supporting the development of study programmes, external engagement, and the transfer of knowledge into practice. Working with external partners, the Stakeholder Council helps address the changes needed to respond to labour-market and regional developments.

How We Work

Focused collaboration is central to the Stakeholder Council’s effectiveness. Its activities are organised around specialised working groups, allowing the Stakeholder Council to address specific challenges in a targeted way and adapt flexibly to the changing needs of the wider stakeholder environment.

Needs Assessment

Understanding is the foundation of effective change. Before proposing a solution, we first  need to define the problem and identify its underlying causes.

In today’s rapidly changing economic and social environment, organisations often face problems whose underlying causes are not immediately apparent. Symptoms such as declining performance, staff turnover or process delays are often only the tip of the iceberg. Every successful collaboration and effective innovation begins with asking the right question.

At the Stakeholder Council, we do not rely on assumptions. The first and most important stage of our collaboration model is a thorough, evidence-based and objective assessment of our partner’s operating environment. We treat each organisation as a complex system. Using rigorous research methods, we identify areas requiring support and distinguish symptoms from the underlying causes of problems.

Our Approach:

Our research team works closely with key people across your organisation to gather information from multiple perspectives. The process is conducted discreetly and designed to minimise disruption to day-to-day operations.

Methods and Tools:

  • Quantitative and qualitative research, including surveys and in-depth interviews with management and staff.
  • Detailed analysis of existing data, desk research and multi-level internal reviews.
  • Stakeholder mapping and business process modelling.

Key Benefits for Partners:

  • Objectivity and perspective through an independent external assessment.
  • Reduced investment risk through evidence-based decision-making.
  • Better use of resources by focusing attention on the challenges that matter most.

Expert Workshops

Applied Projects

From ambitious concept to measurable outcome. We turn developed ideas into practical operational action.

A strong idea and a sound strategy are only half the journey. The real test of any innovation is how it performs within the realities of an organisation. The Stakeholder Council continues to support partners through this most demanding stage: implementation.

We co-deliver applied projects, helping ensure that developed concepts are transferred smoothly and safely into the partner’s operating environment. We combine flexibility in responding to challenges with methodological rigour, helping to prevent disruption and maintain organisational control.

Our Approach:

Depending on the scale of the project, we can act as project lead, provide expert support to the partner’s management team, or serve as an independent reviewer overseeing the quality of implementation.

Methods and Tools:

  • Pilot programmes and controlled proof-of-concept testing to minimise implementation risk.
  • Methodologies selected according to the specific requirements of the project.
  • Action research enabling the process to be adjusted as implementation progresses.

Key Benefits for Partners:

  • A more controlled change process, with expert support at critical stages.
  • Access to academic expertise and University resources.
  • Operational continuity through professional schedule and project management.

Evaluation of Results

Evidence, not empty claims. We measure, verify and improve what we have achieved together.

Good research and good business have one thing in common: both rely on measurable evidence. When an applied project comes to an end, the collaboration does not simply stop. The final stage is a rigorous assessment of the results achieved.

Evaluation is not a box-ticking exercise or a simple summary of successes. It is an analytical — and often critical — assessment of whether the changes introduced have actually addressed the identified problem and delivered the expected return on investment.

Our Approach

During the initial assessment, we work with the partner to define the measures that will indicate success. After an agreed period, we return with appropriate measurement tools to assess the results.

Methods and Tools

  • Tracking and analysis of KPIs before and after implementation.
  • Evaluation studies, ROI analysis, and assessment of wider social or market impact.
  • Standardised reporting in line with rigorous analytical standards.

Key Benefits for Partners

  • Transparency and measurable evidence of effectiveness.
  • Support for building a learning organisation.
  • Strategic recommendations for further scaling and optimisation.
