Dariusz Jaruga, PhD, Eng. – Doctor of Social Sciences in the field of social communication and media studies (2019); A graduate of the Faculty of Mechatronics at the Warsaw University of Technology. Since 2022, research and didactic employee at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Warsaw. Research and didactic employee at the Faculty of Journalism, Information and Book Studies at the University of Warsaw (2015-2021); Didactic associate at the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science (2002 – 2015). Plenipotentiary of the Dean of the Faculty of Journalism, Information and Book Studies for personal data protection (in 2016 – 2021). Co-founder of the Big Data Management studies at the University of Warsaw. He participated in two projects of National Centre for Research and Development in the field of R&D and technological trends. Currently a team member in the project: “Identification, Collection and Assessment of Hostile Disinformation Operations in Cyberspace Based on ICT Tools (IKONA)”. He also gained professional experience at the Polish Press Agency and the Warsaw School of Economics.
Research interests
Refining information, developing research applications to collect data for refining, processing Big Data as a valuable source of secondary information, operating systems, Network Services, relational and non-relational databases, new media, software development, IT security.
