Event Details

We warmly invite you to the next event in the “Melodie Polityki” series, organized as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies. On April 10, 2025, at 6:00 PM in the prof. Jan Baszkiewicz Auditorium (Auditorium Building, WNPiSM), a unique event will take place, blending the world of classical music with reflections on politics.

The event is co-organized with the Faculty of Cultural and Art Studies at UW, the Institute of Musicology (WNKS UW), and the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music.

During each of the five meetings in the series, we will listen to inspiring lectures by distinguished professors from our faculty, offering insights into the history and present state of political science. These lectures will be accompanied by classical music concerts, creating an unforgettable fusion of art and scholarship. The entire event will last approximately 90 minutes.

The second lecture, titled Namiętność w Polityce will be delivered by prof. dr. hab. Stanisław Filipowicz. This will be followed by a piano concert.

Concert Program:

F. Chopin:
● Étude in C-sharp minor, Op. 25 No. 7
● Étude in B minor, Op. 25 No. 10
● Variations in B-flat major, Op. 12
● Rondo in C minor, Op. 1
● Polonaise-Fantaisie, Op. 61
