dr hab. Jerzy Ciechański – Ph.D., specializes in international relations. Researcher and teacher at the Warsaw University Department of Political Science & International Studies. Graduate of the Warsaw University Department of Law & Administration (LLM) and Northern Illinois University (PhD in political science). University teacher in international relations in Poland and the US. Participated in Poland’s EU accession negotiations (employment & social policy, free movement of persons). Former chairman of the Governing Board of the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living & Working Conditions (main EU social policy think-tank), former chairman of the Council of Europe Committee on Social Cohesion and former deputy chairman of the EU Social Protection Committee. Authored publications on the UN role in the maintenance of international peace and security, social human rights, EU social and employment policy, and on the biological factor in international relations.
