Józefowicz Sławomir
dr Sławomir Józefowicz – Ph.D. in Political Science (1999, ISP PAN), didactic adjunct at the Department of Political Theory and Political Thought, 2014-2018 – lecturer and international mobility coordinator at the American Studies Center UW, 2000-2005 – scientific secretary of the journal “Przegląd Europejski” (The European Review) at the Institute of Political Science UW. From 1991 to 2005 – research assistant and then assistant professor [adiunkt] at the Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences, from 1994 to 1996 – national coordinator of the Higher Education Support Programme (HESP) and scholarship programmes at Stefan Batory Foundation.
Grant holder of i.a. the Kosciuszko Foundation – Visiting Fellowship at the State University of New York, Buffalo (2007-2009), research visits at the New School for Social Research, New York and the University of California, Berkeley (1993), Fulbright Summer School (1997), USAID (1995), University of London – Birkbeck College (1992). Longtime fellow of the Center for Polish Studies at Daemen College (Buffalo/Amherst NY).
Research interests
Political philosophy, ideas and ideologies, theories of cultural conflicts, American political culture.
