dr Szymon Kardaś – Ph.D. in Political Sciences (2010), research and didactic worker at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies of the University of Warsaw. A graduate of the Institute of International Relations at the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science, University of Warsaw (2004) and the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Warsaw (2007). Laureate of the Foundation for Polish Science Scholarship for young scientists (2009). Laureate of the Scholarship Competition for the best young doctors in the project “Modern University” (October 2011), Laureate of the Scholarship for outstanding young scientists in 2015-2018. Since September 2012, chief specialist for Russia’s energy policy in the Russian Team of the Centre for Eastern Studies named after Marek Karp. Member of the research team implementing the project “EU-STRAT” (http://eu-strat.eu/) an international research project dealing with the analysis of relations between the European Union and the countries of the eastern neighborhood (May 1, 2016 – April 30, 2019). Participant of numerous scientific conferences, seminars as well as study and research trips in Russia (incl. Sankt Petersburg, Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Kazan Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Vladikavkaz) and in Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Slovakia and the USA.
Research interests
International relations in the post-Soviet area, Russia’s internal and foreign policy, Russia’s energy policy, European and international economic law.
