prof. dr hab. Grzegorz Rydlewski – Professor of Humanities in Political Science, a graduate of the Institute of Political Science, University of Warsaw (1978). Pursuing an individual learning path he studied also at the Faculty of Law and Administration and the Institute of Sociology at the University of Warsaw. He is an expert in the following fields: contemporary political and administrative systems, the relationship between politics and administration, as well as institutional, procedural and staffing problems and the quality of decision-making in institutions of power and public administration in Poland and other European states. He focuses on the issues of political and public decision-making and national security strategy. Professor Rydlewski is the author of more than a hundred publications and a dozen or so monographs on government and public administration in European Union member states, public decision-making and security strategy. For over ten years (after 1990), he was active in government administration, as, inter alia, Secretary of Council of Ministers, Head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Head of the Advisers to the Prime Minister, Member of the Civil Service Council, OECD consultant in Paris, Poland’s representative on Public Administration at the UN General Assembly.
