prof. dr hab. Jacek Wojnicki – professor of social sciences in the discipline of political science (2017), habilitated doctor (2008) and doctor of humanities in the field of political science (2000). Head of the Department of Political Systems at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Warsaw. From 2015 to 2019, he served as deputy director of the Institute of European Studies for student affairs and quality of education. He has collaborated with leading universities in Europe, including institutions in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and North Macedonia. He has lectured at universities in Brno, Banska Bistrica, Pecs, Györ, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Klaipeda and Belgrade. Author of numerous presentations at international conferences in Ottawa, Chengdu, Taipei, Bled, Dubrovnik, Kaunas, Rome, Austin and Tromsö.
He specializes in research on the shaping of political systems in European countries and contemporary public administration systems (including local and regional governments). His research and publications focus on the functioning of political and systemic institutions and the evolution of the governance model, especially in the context of Central and Eastern Europe. He actively works for scientific integration within international research projects. In his free time, he is passionate about crime literature, theatre, gardening and traveling to places of historical importance.
