Wojtaszczyk Konstanty Adam
prof. dr hab. Konstanty Adam Wojtaszczyk – during the period from 2019 to 2021, head of the Department of Law and Institutions of the European Union at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Warsaw. Director of the Institute of European Studies between 2012 and 2019 previously Head of the Department of European Studies. In the years 2005-2008 he was the Vice-Rector of the University of Warsaw for Student Affairs. He also managed the Department of European Institutions at the Institute of Political Sciences of the Faculty of Journalism and Political Sciences at the University of Warsaw. In the years 1998-2001 he was the Director of the Institute of Political Sciences of the Faculty of Journalism and Political Sciences of the University of Warsaw. He performs various functions outside the University of Warsaw, including: Chairman of the Main Committee of the Knowledge Olympiad about Poland and the Modern World, President of the Europea Foundation, Member of the Central Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles. Promoter of 29 doctoral dissertations, over 400 master’s theses, 250 bachelor’s theses. Author of numerous publications in Polish, English and German.
Research interests
European integration, in particular EU institutions and law, contemporary political systems.
