dr Justyna Grażyna OttoPh.D. in Humanities within the scope of Political Sciences, researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies of the University of Warsaw. Ph.D. passed viva with distinction. Graduate of the Institute of Political Science at the University of Warsaw, with a major in European Studies, the Institute of Journalism at the University of Warsaw, with a major in Television and Agency Studies, and the Teacher’s College at the Institute of Political Science of the University of Warsaw. All programs completed with distinction as well. Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz and Universität Konstanz scholarship holder. Partner of, e.g. the Polish Institute of International Affairs. Experienced in working in the media sector. Since 2014, head of the part-time first- and second-degree programme in Political Science. In 2015–2016, head of the part-time (extramural) first- and second-degree programme in Internal Security. As of 2016, head of the full-time first- and second-degree programme in Political Science. Member of the Political Science and International Studies Faculty Board and of the Scientific Board for the Political Science and Administration and Security Science, as well as the Political Science and International Studies Education Board. Secretary and Member of multiple Search and Qualification Committees at the Institute of Political Science and the University of Warsaw, Institute of Political Science Scientific Board. Former representative of doctoral students in the Institute of Political Science Scientific Board, director and chair of the Faculty Doctoral Board at the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science at the University of Warsaw and representative of doctoral students in the Faculty Board. Participant and organiser of many national and international scientific conferences. Author of scientific monographs, e.g. “Destrukcyjna charyzma Adolfa Hitlera” (Destructive charisma of Adolf Hitler), “Przywódca polityczny elementem konstytutywnym reżimu politycznego” (Political leader as a constitutive element of a political regime), scientific editor of the publication entitled “Demokratyczne i niedemokratyczne reżimy polityczne” (Democratic and non-democratic political regimes). Author of entries to “Encyklopedia Administracji Publicznej” (Encyclopedia of Public Administration), ed. J. Itrich-Drabarek. Certified tutor. Years-long member of the Knowledge Olympiad about Poland and the Modern World Committee. Member of many Groups and Committees at the Institute of Political Science and the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science of the University of Warsaw. Coordinator of the KINO [ARS]POLITICAL Project of the “Ars Politica” Academic Club. Above all, a keen traveller, skier and cinema lover.

Research interests
Science of the State with particular emphasis on political regimes, especially non-democratic ones, and their political relations; the State and war. Political leadership mainly in the light of personalisation of politics, mediatisation and celebritisation of politics, peopolisation of power; the role of charisma in politics. The study of politics with an emphasis on the relationship between politics and ethics and politics and history. Pathological behaviours in politics.
