Stasiak-Jazukiewicz Ewa
prof. dr hab. Ewa Stasiak-Jazukiewicz – professor of social sciences, political scientist, media expert. From 2019 to 2021, Head of the Department of European Union Politics, Faculty of Political Science and International Studies, University of Warsaw. Author of works on foreign media systems and media policy, including books: “Prasa niemiecka” [“The German press”], “Informacja masowa w polityce zagranicznej Niemiec” [“Mass information in German foreign policy”], “Duńskie media” [“Danish media”], “Polityka medialna Unii Europejskiej” [“European Union media policy”], “Polityka medialna w UE” [“Media policy in the EU”] and “Zmiana paradygmatu? Niemiecki system medialny” [“Paradigm shift? The German media system”].
Research interests
His research interests include: the organisation and functioning of media systems; the role of the media in the process of social change, especially their use in creating a sense of European identity; the role of the media in political communication, including the mediatisation of politics; media policy; information policy; and creating the image of public institutions.
