The article by Dr. Iuliia Eremenko, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Warsaw, titled “Heritage expertise and tram closures in the World Heritage City of Toruń, Poland,” has been published in the high-ranking international journal, The Journal of Transport History (SAGE). This article is the result of research conducted within the framework of the project “Local experts in Polish and German World Heritage Cities: understanding their role in polycentric governance of heritage sites” (project No. 2021/43/P/HS5/02926), which is co-funded by the National Science Centre and the European Union Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020 under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement no. 945339.
It was co-authored with the project PhD fellow, Tymoteusz Kraski. The article is open access and is part of the special issue “Tram Closures Narrated, Experienced and Contested,” edited by Adam Borch, Jason Finch from Åbo Akademi University, and Silja Laine from the University of Turku.
