Dr. Andżelika Mirska is participating in an international project titled “Local Government and the Changing Urban-Rural Interplay” (LoGov) in cooperation with 18 partners from all around the world. One of these partners is the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), where Dr. Mirska completed a one-month research stay focused on local governance, including local transportation policy in Australia and Poland. It was carried out in collaboration with Professor Carol Mills, Director of the Institute for Public Policy and Governance at UTS.

During the stay at UTS, Dr. Mirska led a seminar on decentralization of public administration processes in Poland, including participatory instruments in local-level public management.

Dr. Mirska also had the pleasure to discuss with Prof. Joseph E. Stiglitz about his new publication, “The Road to Freedom: Economics and the Good Society.” More about the project can be found here.
