This Thursday (20.01.2022) at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies, lecturers visiting our university as part of the Integrated Activities for the Development of the University of Warsaw Program (ZIP) will conduct two lectures:
- Dr. Gary Armstrong (City University London), a renowned interdisciplinarist combining anthropological, sociological, and criminological approaches in research on social and cultural aspects of security, crime, and violence, will conduct a lecture on “The Boxer and the Doxa: A City and its Boxing Stories” (20.01.2022 at 9:45-11:15, room 05 in the Auditorium Building).
- Prof. Richard Giulianotti (Loughborough University), a world-renowned sociologist of contemporary sport, will deliver a lecture on “The Relationship of Sport to Global Development: A Critical Sociological Analysis” (20.01.2022, 18:30-20:00, room 314 in the Auditorium Building).
The task “Including foreign researchers in the teaching of the University of Warsaw” is organized under the Program of Integrated Activities for the Development of the University of Warsaw and financed by the European Social Fund. The goal of the ZIP program, implemented at the University of Warsaw in 2018-2022, is to develop the competences of students, doctoral students and employees, and to introduce tools that will improve university management.
