We warmly invite students of the University of Warsaw and the entire academic community to a special meeting with Dr. Yossi Matias – Vice President at Google and Head of Google Research & AI for the EMEA region.
The meeting will focus on the development and application of artificial intelligence in science, research, and everyday academic work. Together, we will explore how AI supports students and researchers in discovering knowledge, analyzing data, creating models and simulations, and conducting research that goes beyond the capabilities of language models such as Gemini or ChatGPT.
Yossi Matias will demonstrate that AI goes far beyond popular chatbots – it is an entire ecosystem of tools and models that open up new frontiers for science:
AI for scientific data – analyzing large datasets, identifying patterns and correlations invisible to humans.
AI in visualization and simulation – supporting climate, seismic, and medical research.
AI in scientific discovery – assisting in hypothesis generation and testing, publication analysis, and experiment automation.
AI in academic practice – tools that help students and researchers work with data, sources, visualizations, and interdisciplinary research.
The meeting is open to students, doctoral candidates, faculty members, and all those interested in the use of artificial intelligence in education and research.
After the presentation, there will be a Q&A session, where participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about the practical applications of AI in science.
