The next edition of the “Chopin Universe” will soon begin, during which a series of exceptional musical events will be held. Together with the Institute of Musicology of the University of Warsaw, the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music and the Faculty of Arts and Culture Sciences, we invite you to a series of classical music concerts to be held in the Professor Baszkiewicz Auditorium of the Auditorium Building on the UW Main Campus.
“Chopin’s Universe” in the current academic year consists of 4 thematic concerts dedicated to the music of Frederic Chopin and its broad contexts. The first of these, “Prelude,” will take place on November 9, 2023 at 6 p.m. The concert program will be available soon. The event lasts about an hour – 40 minutes of concert preceded by a 20-minute lecture.
At each concert, staff members of the UW Institute of Musicology will briefly discuss the repertoire being played and give us an overview of the history of the works being performed.
