LOT Polish Airlines has announced a worldwide sustainable business & innovation contest. The aim is to engage international student community into the process of transforming global aviation industry. Submissions are open on lot.com until the end of March 2020.
‘Help Us to Be More Green’, is the motto of LOT global contest. This refers to all processes that impact upon travel experience, including sales, engineering, operations, marketing, network planning, and revenue management. Student teams of universities or colleges based in any LOT network country are invited to take on a challenge and present their business, technological and environmental innovations that may help the aviation industry answer to evolving passenger expectations.

With this in mind, we want to engage the potential of diverse student community whose innovative, technology and data-driven approach can keep our industry transforming towards better sustainability and competitiveness,” said Michał Fijoł, Chief Commercial Officer of LOT.
The ChallengeAir Global Contest is divided into two stages. In order to qualify, teams of three (or individual students if preferred) will need to present their ideas on improving the airline’s customer experience and boosting its sales. Maximum 40 teams will be invited to the finale, which will take place in Warsaw, Poland. Finalists will be asked to come up with solutions to a challenge they will learn on site. The topics will range from sustainable growth to innovations in the aviation industry.
The contest is a global networking opportunity that gives participants insight into the exciting aviation industry. The prize pool for the first three teams amounts to 9,000 USD in cash, with additional vouchers for LOT plane tickets on a route they choose. Submissions are open from January till April 2020 at lot.com.
