On February 21 there was a seminar on Regional and Global Implications of Territorial Dispute in the South China Sea. The scientific event was attended by several dozen scientists focused on maritime disputes, the role of China in the modern world, and international relations. The seminar was opened by Deputy Dean for Research and International Cooperation, Dr. Łukasz Zamęcki, who greeted the guests of the event and pointed out the importance of the topic.
The speakers of the seminar prof. Stanisław Pawlak (judge at the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, retired professor at WNPiSM UW) and prof. Edward Haliżak from the Department of Regional and Global Studies of the WNPiSM. In-depth scientific discussion on this narrow aspect, which, however, has a wide geopolitical significance was moderated by dr hab. Jakub Zajączkowski, head of the Department of Regional and Global Studies at the WNPiSM.
The event was organized by the Department of Regional and Global Studies of the Faculty of Political Sciences and International Studies of the University of Warsaw.
