

We are pleased to announce that two doctoral students from the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Warsaw were among the winners of the PRELUDIUM 24 competition organized by the National Science Centre.
Funding for their research projects was awarded to:
Eugeniusz Kuznicow-Wyszyński, MA, project title: “The impact of ethnic cards as an instrument of state policy on mutual relations between the country of origin, the country of residence, and the diaspora, using the example of the Polish Card.”
The research will focus on analyzing the Polish Card as a tool of state policy towards the diaspora. The project aims to examine the relations in the triad: country of origin (Poland) – countries of residence (the analysis will cover Ukraine, Belarus, the Czech Republic, and Brazil) – Polish communities abroad. The scientific supervisor of the project is Magdalena Lesińska, PhD, professor at the Center for Migration Research at the University of Warsaw.
Julia Dobrowolska, MA, project title: “Strategies for combating disinformation in the Baltic states.”
The project concerns the analysis of mechanisms and strategies adopted by the Baltic states in the face of information threats. This research addresses key issues of contemporary international security and political communication. The scientific supervisor of the project is Prof. Marta Jas-Koziarkiewicz, professor at the Department of European Union Policies, Faculty of Political Science and International Studies, University of Warsaw.
