The prestigious Routledge publishing house has released a monograph entitled “Coping and Adaptation in Times of Exodus – Venezuelan Migration Decisions and Strategies.” The co-author of the publication is Agnieszka Olter-Castillo, a doctoral student of Prof. Ryszard Szarfenberg, professor at the Department of Research Methodology at the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations.
The book is an interdisciplinary study of the migration crisis in Venezuela – one of the most significant south-south population movements in recent decades. The work is based on the results of the MICLACAS (Migration Crisis in Latin America: Coping and Adaptation Strategies of Venezuelan Migrants and Their Families) research project.
The monograph analyzes the decision-making processes behind migration and the coping and adaptation strategies adopted by Venezuelan migrants and their families. The uniqueness of the publication lies in linking the perspectives of migrants residing in Peru, their relatives remaining in Venezuela, and host communities in destination countries.
The publication is the result of collaboration between the following researchers:
We warmly congratulate Agnieszka Olter-Castillo and the entire team of authors on their publishing success!
