We invite you to a discussion panel organized by the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Warsaw, devoted to the current political situation in Poland and what the coming months leading up to the parliamentary elections may look like.
In this conversation, we will attempt to answer questions about the dynamics of the Polish party scene, the strategies of the main political actors, and the social moods that may shape future election campaigns. Is the Polish political scene in 2026 in a period of stabilization, or rather in a period preceding another electoral mobilization? What political processes today foreshadow the upcoming campaigns and possible reshuffles on the party scene?
The discussion will bring together representatives of three groups associated with our Faculty: academic staff, alumni, and students.
The discussion will be joined by:
Dr. Anna Materska-Sosnowska – representative of the academic staff of the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Warsaw, member of the board of the Batory Foundation
Marcin Duma – representative of the alumni community of the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Warsaw, founder of the Institute for Market and Social Research (IBRiS)
Krzysztof Heyda-Wykrytowicz – representative of the student community of the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Warsaw, third-year student of political science, co-founder of the Strategy and Security Policy Research Club
The meeting will be an opportunity not only to analyze current political events, but also to build dialogue within the Faculty community. By bringing together the voices of representatives of three communities, we want to create a space for regular discussion of the most important public issues – so that we can interpret political reality together and share different experiences and perspectives. It will take place on March 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the Jan Baszkiewicz Auditorium.
