
We cordially invite you to an open meeting with Melinda Simmons, who has been serving as Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Poland since September 2025.
Ambassador Simmons has many years of diplomatic experience, gained, among others, in the British Foreign Service, where she was responsible for Eastern policy, humanitarian activities, and support for peace processes. As British Ambassador to Ukraine from 2019 to 2023, she was one of the key figures in diplomacy in the region, gaining wide international recognition.
During the meeting, the Ambassador will present her vision for the development of Polish-British relations and discuss the UK’s approach to European security and the current situation in the region. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session, allowing for direct conversation with the Ambassador.
The event is aimed at students, academic staff, and representatives of the political and media communities, providing a unique opportunity to learn about current issues in international politics, European security, and diplomatic practice.
