Erasmus+ students studying at our faculty visited the Center for Veterans of Foreign Service. The visit took place as part of the faculty’s cooperation with this institution and was part of classes devoted to international security and foreign missions.

The meeting began with a presentation on the functioning of the Polish veteran support system and the activities of the Veteran Center. Students had the opportunity to learn about the institutional solutions used in Poland in the field of care for people participating in military and stabilization operations abroad. Another important part of the visit was a lecture by Colonel Tomasz Panek, a veteran of the mission in Iraq and former commander of the Polish Military Contingent in Lebanon in 2022–2023. The speaker shared his experiences from foreign service under the flag of the United Nations and answered students’ questions about the practical aspects of participating in international missions.

The visit also included a tour of the Hall of Tradition, during which students learned about the history of Poland’s involvement in foreign military missions. The meeting ended with the laying of a candle at the monument dedicated to those who died in missions and operations outside the country.

We would like to thank the Veteran Center for the wonderful organization of the visit!
