

The Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Warsaw cordially invites you to a scientific seminar devoted to the issue of paradiplomacy and the promotion of the latest Routledge publication – Handbook of Paradiplomacy . The event will take place on 27 May 2026 at 5:00 PM in Room 303 on the 3rd floor of the Auditorium Building of the University of Warsaw.
The seminar is held under the patronage of the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies of the University of Warsaw and will bring together scholars researching the international activity of subnational entities, regional diplomacy, and contemporary transformations in international relations. A special guest of the event will be Prof. Jorge Schiavon from Mexico – one of the leading experts in paradiplomacy studies and co-editor of the publication. The central part of the event will be a panel discussion entitled “Research on Paradiplomatic Activity – Current State and Challenges”, featuring scholars from Poland, Mexico, and Chile. The discussion will focus on current directions in paradiplomacy research, the growing role of regions and cities in international relations, and the challenges facing contemporary multi-level diplomacy.
