Dear Students!

On January 17-28, the Department of Diplomacy and International Institutions hosts prof. Luciano Segreto from the University of Florence / Bocconi University.

As part of the visit, we organize 8 hours (1 hour: 45 minutes) of substantive consultations with Professor Segreto for students, regarding individual scientific works of students and / or projects of students unions,  in the form of a scientific seminar on the project.

The scope of the issues:

International institutions and societies in the age of globalization, International economic history

 

Substantive and scientific consultations are dedicated to students in the field of Contemporary Diplomacy (4 places) and open to students from second-cycle studies and all years of doctoral studies (4 places).

Interested students are requested to send at least one day before the scheduled meeting one page of the project description / scientific article / research paper to the following address: dyplomacja.wnpism@uw.edu.pl.

Consultations are arranged individually on January 17-28 (in English, Italian, French and German; stationary and remotely).

Prof. Luciano Segreto:

Full professor of economic history at the University of Florence and lecturer at the University of Bocconi, where he conducts the course: Globalization, Societies and Institutions, as well as subjects in the field of international economic history and globalization. He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Maison des Sciences de l’Homme d’Aquitaine and of the Scientific Committee of the Notebooks of the Historical Archives of the Bank of Italy. His research interests include Italian industrial capitalism, international economic history, business biographies and corporate governance. His monograph I Feltrinelli. The history of the entrepreneurial dynasty (1854-1942) (Feltrinelli, 2011) won the SISSCO Sintesi 2012 award. Author of many scientific publications.
