On the occasion of the first anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Nancy, this academic conference aims to demonstrate how the new framework for Polish-French cooperation opens up opportunities for joint research, projects, academic networks, and soft power initiatives. The conference will highlight the significance of politically sensitive areas: migration, security, and information resilience. The Treaty of Nancy raises the ambition of the partnership in strategic fields and opens new perspectives for cooperation.
The Polish-French PHC Polonium project “AMIPOL: Analysis of the Politicization and Mediatization of Migration” will also be presented. The project aims to demonstrate who politicizes migration and how, how the media amplify existing controversies and divisions, what factors mitigate them, and how migration narratives intersect today with security categories (securitization, hybrid threats, information manipulation).
Polish-French cooperation under the Treaty of Nancy creates a solid foundation for deepening strategic dialogue and developing joint scientific and expert initiatives. At the same time, the Treaty reinforces the importance of the partnership between Poland and France as a vital pillar of European solidarity, security, and resilience in the face of contemporary challenges.
