Seminar with Professor Seyedali Mirjalili: “Turning Research into Recognition, Visibility and Impact”

How can we ensure that valuable research does not end its journey once a paper is published? How can researchers increase its visibility, reach, and real-world impact in an effective and responsible way?

We invite you to a seminar with Professor Seyedali Mirjalili, a globally recognised expert in artificial intelligence and optimisation and the author of more than 800 research outputs. His work has received over 180,000 citations, and he has an h-index of 160.

During the seminar, Professor Mirjalili will draw on his own experience to share practical approaches to increasing the visibility and reach of research. He will discuss how researchers can effectively reach the right audiences, make their work easier to discover, create opportunities for new collaborations, and extend the impact of their research beyond academia. He will also share examples of approaches that have worked well, as well as those that have proved less effective.

The seminar will take place on Monday, 21 September 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM in Room 303, Auditorium Building.
