How to Deal with Political Polarization to Defend Democracy: Lessons from Poland
The event presented the case of political polarization in Poland and a proposal for breaking the deadlock, as outlined in the book Let’s Agree on Poland. A Case Study in Strategic Constitutional Design (Oxford University Press: 2025). Participants learned more about Poland, a country that is becoming increasingly recognizable in South America, and about the concept of a new social contract presented in the book. During the lecture, we referred to the Colombian experience and pointed out the surprising similarities between our countries, even though we operate in very different contexts.
This event is part of an international series of meetings promoting the book Let’s Agree on Poland.
