Dear Students,

please find below the information regarding the training on the health and safety conditions in the education sector – OHS in the academic year 2022/2023:

– the training will take place on the general university e-learning platform called “Kampus” https://kampus.come.uw.edu.pl and will be available to students on the following dates:

– in the winter semester: from 7 December 2022 to 5 March 2023;

– in the summer semester: from 20 March 2023 to 10 September 2023.

– the necessary training materials are accessible without the time limit in the form of five modules;

– the test consists of 26 closed single-choice questions—you have to pass it in order to complete the OHS training;

– you will complete the OHS training if you correctly answer at least 14 questions;

– the results of the OHS test will be automatically sent to the USOS system after the whole sitting has taken place;

– the students who fail the OHS test will have to resit it in the next academic cycle; an additional fee will be charged in that case;

– the students who are unable to complete the OHS training due to health or technical reasons should contact the subject coordinator by email: bhppomoc@uw.edu.pl;

– the OHS training needs to be completed by the full-time and part-time students who start their education at the University of Warsaw:

– during the first year at the level of first-cycle studies;

– during the first year at the level of second-cycle studies;

– when transferred from other university;

– this applies to the students whose learning achievements outside the formal education have been recognised, and also to those who restart their second year at the level of second-cycle studies;

– the OHS training as the subject that prepares students to begin their studies, common to all degree courses, within the meaning of the Ordinance No. 6 of the Rector of the University of Warsaw dated 13 January 2017 on subjects preparing for the study, common for all fields of study (Monitor UW of 2017, item 9), should be completed by students during the first academic cycle after beginning education at the University of Warsaw;

– the students who have already completed the health and safety training at the University of Warsaw are not required to participate in the OHS course. Head of the Teaching unit decides whether the acquired OHS certificate will be recognised; a student needs to file an application regarding this case (we recommend to submit it via the USOS system, there is no need to attach a student course record with a confirmation that the OHS training has been completed at the University of Warsaw);

– the rules of adapting the OHS subject into the programme and stage of studies: in case of the students of the first academic year at the level of first-cycle studies, the subject should be adapted into the programme and stage of studies; meanwhile, in case of the students of the first academic year at the level of second-cycle studies, the subject should not be adapted into the programme and stage of studies if the OHS training is not included in the study programme.
