You are welcome to join the seminar “Area Studies, Global International Relations and Dynamics of International Order”.
The seminar will explore the evolving dynamics of the contemporary international order, marked by increasing multi-polarity and complexity. These transformations call for a more integrated approach that places Area and Regional Studies at the core of International Relations (IR) analysis. The traditional, hierarchical Cold War-era model—where great powers shaped regional dynamics—has been increasingly challenged. Today, regional and emerging powers are playing a crucial role in influencing global actors and reshaping the international system. The seminar will offer a platform for rigorous academic reflection on this shift, drawing on the latest research in the field.
