We cordially invite you to participate in the lecture by Professor Francis Fukuyama from the Stanford University on Economic and political development: the importance of institutions. The meeting will be held as a part of the “Kapuscinski Development Lectures” series coordinated by the European Commission and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The lecture is co-organized by the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies, University of Warsaw.

Francis Fukuyama is the professor at Stanford University and the Director of Stanford’s Masters in International Policy Program. Fukuyama has written widely on issues in development and international politics. His 1992 book, The End of History and the Last Man, has appeared in over twenty foreign editions. His most recent book, Identity: The Demand for Dignity and the Politics of Resentment, was published in September 2018.
The event will be moderated by dr. Karina Jędrzejowska and dr. Anna Wróbel from the Department of Regional and Global Studies, Faculty of Political Science and International Studies, University of Warsaw.
