Visit by the World Bank’s Vice President for Development Finance

Yesterday, we had the honor of hosting Mr. Akihiko Nishio, Vice President for Development Finance at the World Bank. The meeting was moderated by Prof. Agnieszka Bieńczyk-Missala, Vice Dean for International Cooperation.

The discussions focused on the current conditions and future of development aid, with particular emphasis on Polish development cooperation, as well as the World Bank’s role in financing development and supporting countries facing global challenges.

The Faculty of Political Science and International Studies was represented by: Prof. Katarzyna Nawrot, dr Aleksandra Jarczewska, dr Barbara Regulska-Ingielewicz, dr Anna Wróbel, dr Karina Jędrzejowska and dr Justyna Nakonieczna-Bartosiewicz.

On behalf of the World Bank delegation, the following representatives participated in the meeting: Ms. Rebecca Nicholls, Ms. Meriem Gray, and Ms. Dominika Wieczorek.
