As part of the project “Europe and Mobilities: Challenges and Opportunities for Socio-Economic Transformations,” we invite students to participate in a contest for an essay or short film focused on the external policies of the European Union.
Essay requirements:
The aim of the essay (max. 4,000 words) is to explore the EU’s neighbourhood and enlargement policy in the context of Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine and its far-reaching consequences.
Film requirements:
Imagine that a full-length film has been created to speak to counter disinformation about the EU’s neighbourhood and enlargement policy. Contest participants are to produce a trailer (up to 3 minutes) promoting this fictional film. The trailer should be targeted at a broader audience and should clearly identify and contextualize the types of information most commonly subject to manipulation—in a compelling and accessible form
The contest is open to students of all higher education institutions enrolled in BA, MA, or PhD programs.
Submissions in Polish or English should be sent to cess@uw.edu.pl.
The deadline for submissions is 1 September 2025.
The contest results will be announced on: 5 October 2025.
We encourage all students to participate!
