mgr Michał Szczegielniak – a specialist in administrative science and politics, local government employee, researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies of the University of Warsaw. Graduate of the Political Science Institute at the University of Warsaw, specialising in marketing and political consulting, and of Kozminski University, specialising in government administration. Member of the European Consortium for Political Research and the Polish Association for European Studies. Member of the editorial board of “Przegląd Europejski” (European Review) from 2014 to 2020. Participant in national research projects. Expert of the National Freedom Institute – Centre for Civil Society Development and Shipyard Foundation in the Active Citizens Fund – National programme. Participant and organiser of many conferences and scientific events, e.g. international scientific symposium entitled “Służba cywilna w Polsce – 20 lat doświadczeń i perspektywy zmian” (Civil service in Poland: 20 years of experience and prospects for a change). Former director of the Doctoral Student Council at the University of Warsaw, the Faculty Doctoral Students’ Board, the Scholarship Appeal Committee and the Disciplinary Committee for Students and Doctoral Students. Winner of the 2018 Scientific Debut – Sustainable Development competition in the Master’s degree category organised by the State Higher Vocational School in Racibórz, the Faculty of Organisation and Management of the Silesian University of Technology and the Silesian Centre for Business Ethics and Sustainable Development. Activist and expert for non-governmental organisations, professionally involved with government and local government administration units.
