Panelists:

Ahmed Al Mansoori – Chargé d’affaires in the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Poland. He was appointed the head of the Political, Economic and Media Department of the UAE Embassy in Warsaw in January 2019. In 2018-2019 he was a Desk Officer at the European Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation International (MoFAIC) of the United Arab Emirates. In 2017-2018, he was conscripted to the Military Service. In 2014-2016 he was a Desk Officer at the Human Rights Department at MoFAIC UAE. In 2016, he defended his master’s degree in political science. In 2014, he defended his BA thesis in Business Administration.

Zofia Jeziorna – experienced concert and events producer closely cooperating with Ihab Darwish, the Beethoven Academy Orchestra and the Artwish Music and Events. She is one of the authors of the successful international projects such as: “Waves of my life” and “Hekayat: Symphonic tales”, UAE 48th National Day show “Legacy of Our Ancestors”, signature music for The Palm Fountain.

Adam Kułach – University of Warsaw, MA in political science ( spec. international relations with Arabic) obtained at Moscow State Institute of International Relations, graduate of the Postgraduate Studies in Foreign Service – Polish Institute of International Affairs, between 2004-2010 he was the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Between 2012-2016 – Ambassador / Head of the European Union Delegation in Riyadh accredited to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait and the Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates (until June 2013).

⚈ dr Karolina Rak – orientalist, Arabist, literary scholar. She is specialized in the field of contemporary social and cultural issues of the broadly understood Middle East and North Africa. She looks into the the Muslim discourse, with particular emphasis on the intellectual debate in the 20th century. In her latest research she also deals with the phenomenon of Arab feminism. As part of her activity of knowledge dissemination and promotion she runs the FB, IG and Youtube profile of Niswiyya-Arabic feminism, and a podcast devoted to this subject.

Moderator:

Daniel Gołębiowski – PhD candidate, graduate of the Institute of Middle and Far East Studies at the Jagiellonian University, with master’s degree in Middle Eastern Cultural Studies. Specialist in cultural scene of the Saudi Arabia. Before starting his studies at the Jagiellonian University, he graduated from the Silesian School of Economics in Katowice, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree with a specialization in international relations and diplomacy. Scholarship holder of the first edition of the Europaeum Scholars Program for PhD students. He has experience in working in public institutions, such as the European Parliament. He recently joined the REACTIK project team, which aims to broaden the knowledge of European cultural diplomacy and European cultural policy
