Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme, The Center for Security Studies (C4SS) and the Department of International Relations and European Studies (IRES) cordially invite you for an intensive study programme on the „War in Ukraine and its Security Implications”

Where: in Prague, the Czech Republic

When: 11.–15. September 2023

Language of instruction: English

Participants: MA Students, Ph.D. Candidates + academics from the Partner Universities
We aim for groups of 3-5 participants from each partner university (min. 1 academic representative + 2-4 students of MA or Ph.D. level)

Costs: No tuition fees are charged and students may also apply for short-term blended mobility grants via Erasmus+ (70 EUR/day) at their institution. Students cover accommodation (which can be arranged by MUP) and personal living expenses (food, transportation fees etc.). Academic staff from participating universities may also apply for short-term mobility grants at their home institutions. MUP will cover: Lunches during Prague programme (11-15 September), Final get-together dinner (15 September 2023), Entrance fees to all visited places

Programme:

  • Preparation meeting online (date and time will be appointed in cooperation with the partner universities)
  • 10. 9. – arrival to Prague
  • 11. 9. – 15. 9. – programme in Prague: see the attached document, you will get a more detailed programme ahead of the mobility.
    All lectures will be as interactive as possible. We have integrated guided simulations, practical workshops and innovative teaching formats into the programme.
    We are going to do two different field trips in Prague, one to the DOX Center for Contemporary Art, one to visit various places in Prague that represent memories of the 1968 Soviet invasion and follow up occupation of Czechoslovakia.
  • 15. 9. – evaluation of the summer school, submitting assignments and presentations, final certificates and confirmations for home universities
  • 15. 9. – final meeting with a dinner
